Just in Three Months

I LOVE Net Galley.  You get the opportunity to read fantastic books and all you have to do is review them.  They don't pressure you to give positive feedback, and I don't always.  However the majority of the time I LOVE the books!  Just in the past three months I've read 6 books, two new series, and all fantastic.  I post my reviews on Goodreads primarily because it's a great way to keep track of what books I read and other book obsessed people use that site.  If you haven't heard of Goodreads, please check it out.  Here is a link to my profile: Brittany's Goodreads Profile

I only have one current book to read from Net Galley titled "The Rogue You Know" by Shana Galen.  She's a great author with wonderful historical romances.  I haven't read the series this book is in and I expect I will be buying the others in this series after I read this book!  Stay tuned for that review link on my Goodreads, OR sign up for Goodreads and add me as a friend!

TLC Vox Box from Influenster

Today I received my TLC VoxBox.  I have to say I was very surprised by the awesome goodies packed away in the small purple box!  Below I will list each item and post pictures of the products I received.  I have received these products for review purposes from Influenster!

Item 1:  Welcome to your TLC Vox Box

You can't help but smile when you open the box and see this image, at least I couldn't.  I was very excited to unwrap my goodies.

Item 2 and 3:  Ivory Soap and Avon Anew Reversalist Complete Renewal Express

2: Ivory Soap- I love Ivory Soap!  I always have a bar of soap in my powder room along with liquid because personally I like the feel of soap that came from a bar.  Ivory is one of my favorites!  It makes you feel clean after use, it doesn't dry you out and doesn't leave a film on your hands afterwards.  

3: Anew Reversalist Complete Renewal Express- I wasn't sure what to expect from this product.  I'm only 31 and just starting to get those annoying lines and wrinkles around the eyes and forehead.  They really bother me as I don't feel I'm old enough for wrinkles, but honestly who ever feels 'Old Enough' to have wrinkles!  But I opened this product up and my first observation in that it feels very silky and light on my fingers.  After I applied it, it felt like powder and those pesky lines and wrinkles were barely visible at all if not completely gone!  I can tell you I will definitely be adding this product to my daily regiment!  

Item 4 and 5: Neosporin and Pain Relief Neo to Go and Breyers Gelato Indulgences Coupon

4: Neosporin and Pain Relief Neo to Go-  I always have this product in my house.  With two small children who wouldn't?!  This seems almost as magical as mommy kisses on boo boo's in my house.  My children always insist on having this spayed on them before a band-aid is placed on.  I just ran out before this arrive at my house!  It makes the scrapes and cuts stop hurting and heal faster and with out scarring (in my opinion at least) way better then just a band-aid and hydrogen peroxide which was my old go to.  

5: Breyers Gelato Indulgences- I've had this before but I won't turn away a coupon for a free one.  I've only have the chocolate one but want to try the Raspberry one desperately.  After I get it I will post on that flavor but I can tell you the triple chocolate one is outstanding, with it's three mounts of vanilla icecream with white, dark, and milk chocolate on top!  A must have if you love chocolate, and who doesn't!?

Item 6 and 7: Puff Plus Lotion sample pack and Shell Gas Fuel Rewards Card

6: Puff Plus Lotion Sample Pack- I usually have this brand tissue around my house and love that I have it in my purse now also! My kids always need tissues when there doesn't seem to be any around and now that is a problem I don't have to deal with.  These aren't too bulky and fit perfectly in my huge black hole I call a purse!  They are soft and don't chaff your skin and are strong enough for those super runny noses kids seem to ALWAYS get! 

7: Shell Fuel Rewards Card- To be honest, I don't get gas at Shell.  It's not a convienient gas station for me and the prices are always a bit on the higher end.  And as I am a stay at home mom I go where I can get the most bang for my buck!  This card however has me thinking twice about driving by the Shell gas station.  There are a bunch of perks.  For more information about the card and it's perks go here!

Review:

I liked the idea of using a product like this.  It's made from melon and it is advertised to help keep you youthful and your face hydrated.  

Personally, my first impression was it smells great.  No overwhelming perfume smell, just a slight natural smell.  Again not like dirty but just a pleasant smell.  A little goes a long way and the little bottle we were given to sample through Influenster has lasted me over a month of use once a day, after you wash your face. After using it for a few weeks, I noticed my face wasn't as dry.  I personally have an issue with the under part of my nose always being dry, NO MATTER what product I use.  This product is the only one so far that seems to have fixed the problem.  That in itself makes this product a must buy for me.  However I didn't notice any youthful correction.  Now granted I'm only 31 and only have a few laugh lines, they stayed put.  That's not to say they wouldn't go away if I used the product longer and I'm sure if I used the whole line that would help correct those laugh lines!  All in all I liked this product a lot and have found myself telling friends and family about it. I suggest you get a bottle and try it out and see if you love it as much as me!

I have very sensitive arches and was a little wary of these as the arch support seems to be pretty substantial. However when I had them in my sneakers, they were perfectly proportioned and the gel cushions are AMAZING! I lucked out and received these from Influenster for free for review and I got them a few days before a week long visit at Disney.  Walking around and sometimes running around with my two daughters was a breeze with these inserts.  My feet did not hurt once the whole week and that's saying something as I've said before my arches and feet are sensitive.

The inserts come one size and you have to cut them down to fit into your shoes.  It's very easy to do and the directions are very easy to read and understand.  You remove your old shoe inserts and line up to the back of the Active Series Inserts and take a marker and mark the back of the new inserts.  Then you just cut along the line you made and insert into your sneakers!  SO simple and easy.  I really have to say these are amazing.  And the packaging says they should be replaced every 6 months or so which is a great value for the money invested in purchasing these.  I honestly wouldn't of purchased these prior to trying them just due to the cost, which is a bit more expensive then basic inserts.  But I have to say the cost is worth the comfort and the durability.  I can't say enough about these inserts!  You have to try them!!

Crest 3D White Strip Review

My Review:

I received a Level 5 Box of Crest 3D White Strips from Influenster to try and review.  I have to say I was VERY excited to get the chance to do this review.  I drink at least a cup of coffee a day an then sometimes tea through out the day.  My teeth are not white and I don't expect them to ever be white but I would love to have them not as yellow!  

First let me say that it was easy to apply with very easy to understand instructions.  It gives you different options for different levels of white.  I decided to do the 2 hour whiting as appose to the 30 minute whiting.  I had an excessive amount of saliva in the beginning but after about 30 minute all was great and I was wearing the strips as I picked up my childrens toys.  After two hours, I removed my strips and I didn't notice any change in coloring right away.  After a few hours, my teeth looked a little less yellow, however they also hurt A LOT.  I have a few teeth that have little crack.  Nothing more then wear my dentist tells me, as I've just gone to the dentist last week.  I didn't think anything about it when I decided to try these strips and there are no warnings with the strips about possible pain from use of the strips.  About 5 hours after I removed the strips my teeth started to throb and really hurt! It feels like the nerve endings were on fire.  I unfortunately will not be able to use the other 6 days worth of strips because I can't stand the pain.  I however believe if I could use the strips for the full 7 days that my teeth would indeed be much more whiter then they are now as they have already started looking less yellow in just one treatment.  

I have mixed feelings overall about these strips.  I believe they would work wonders if I had perfect teeth.  I however don't have perfect teeth and there were no warnings in the paperwork with the strips about how it can cause pain.  So I give it a 3 1/2 out of 5.

Hello Everyone!

I have a book review but have recently started reviewing other products not in the literary genre and decided to create a blog for just those reviews.  I hope you enjoy my reviews and pictures when I can get them up.  I understand that my opinion may not always be the same as that of my readers but at least I'm giving the reader a different view of the product.  I believe that being informed about a product, the pluses and minuses of that product, help to make an informed decision and purchase!
